Who Can Sign-Off on CSC Tests and Ratings

This is where/whom to go to get tested and signed off.

Dinghy Sailboat (up to Junior)

  1. Written Test - Day Leader. Can be taken any time the club is open, administered by the Day Leader. If you do not pass, you will not be told what you got wrong, and you have to wait a day to take it again.
  2. Rigging Test - Given by Senior Sailor.
  3. Sailing Test (Novice or Junior) - Given by Senior Sailor.
  4. The Senior Sailor who adminsters the Sailing Test also verifies that all other requirements have been met and updates the rating.

Windsurf Ratings (up to Junior+)

  1. Written Test (Novice)Can be taken online by logging into the website and clicking here. You can also go to the Club any time it is open, and the Day Leader can administer the test. If you do not pass, you will not be told what you got wrong, and you have to wait a day to take it again.
  2. Self-Rescue - The Day Leader can give this test.
  3. The Day Leader updates the Novice rating when both tests have been passed.
  4. Written Test (Junior) - Can be taken any time the club is open, administered by the Day Leader. If you do not pass, you will not be told what you got wrong, and you have to wait a day to take it again.
  5. Rigging Test (Junior+) - Given by Senior Windsurfer.
  6. Sailing Test (Junior or Junior+) - Given by Senior Windsurfer
  7. The Senior Windsurfer who administers the Sailing Test verifies that all other requirements have been met and updates the rating.

High Performance Dinghies and RS Quest

This refers to Laser, RS Quest, and RS500.

To sail these dinghies, you must be instructed in rigging them and signed off by a member who is signed off to sail them. You must be a Senior Sailor to sail the RS500
