Unanimous Approval

Next date for CPR/First Aid class Sat June 5th

Move to approve expenditures for budget

Move to authorize Jennifer Kroon, Mark Playsted, Joshua Leihe, Seamus Vanecko, and Yves Parent  to organize dinghy cruises in the Keelboat Cruising area in 2016, with the following safety parameters, listed below, in place:

Safety Precautions:

  • Every participant of the cruise is required to have a radio, whistle, flashlight and a wet suit.

  • A club keelboat will accompany the cruise to carry provisions and lend assistance if necessary.

  • Conditions will be assessed and final decision made the day of the cruise.

  • All boats will be thoroughly inspected for damage and repaired if necessary.

  • Every participant sailing on a dinghy will be either a senior or an extremely advanced junior skipper.

Approve Dan Zaslavsky as a cruising skipper once he finishes his first cruise

*Move to approve spending up to the limits listed in the Budget for Fiscal Year 2016 - 2017 (contained in the Treasurer's report).

*NOTE: Excomm meeting was reopened 6:36pm and closed at 6:39pm in order to vote on this motion. The same members of Excomm were present with the exception of Sophie Horiuchi. Notably, Horiuchi’s co-Port Captain Anthony Lunnis was still present. The reopening was because the original motion to adopt the budget expenditures did not include adopting the spending. This language was added in order to clarify Excomm’s intention with the earlier motion and was unanimously adopted.
