OFFICER REPORTS
Commodore |
We received our grant from the Department of Boating and Waterways. |
Vice Commodore |
Curt Lanyi’s transformation of the yard is going well, as are our open houses; however, today’s open house was the smallest of the year. Today there were around 50 people. |
First Vice Commodore |
We are looking at new boats. We bought two RS Quests. They are wildly popular and their current estimated time of arrival is at the end of this month. |
Second Vice Commodore |
There is wind and gear and everyone is happy. Thanks to everyone who has been fixing gear. Please rig windsurfboards in the new area behind the clubhouse because otherwise the sails and booms rub on asphalt. There are more fast tracks coming this year and will be scheduled soon. |
Third Vice Commodore |
Thanks to Sheldon, Greg, and Robert who are doing so much work on our keelboats and keeping them in great shape. We have new standing rigging on Dr. Who. |
Rear Commodore |
Joanie Pacheco is running the next Fast Track on June 6 - 10. Yves is getting really busy with his work and he is looking for someone to take over his position. There is a new CPR/First Aid class coming up. |
Port Captain |
We are striving to provide a safe atmosphere and well-trained day leaders. |
Secretary |
Current club enrollment is 623 active members. We do not have a quorum tonight because we only have about 40 members here. We have three copies of dinghy manual printed and in the club house. Thanks to John Bongiovanni for printing new dinghy tests. There are 5,000 new flyers for Open House. Please take them and give them out. They are in the clubhouse in the cardboard box. The next Open House is June 19th. We are looking into getting an AED for the club. Until then there is an AED next door at Cal Adventures which we can use. I have also looking for some help on a few side projects. Please let me know if you are interested in the following: (1) help set up live streaming of sailboat races (2) help coordinate a drill book for dinghys (3) spearhead the club’s acquisition of an AED. |
VOTES
There was not a quorum of 10% of the voting membership. A vote was still taken to see if the membership in attendance (about 40 people) still approved of excomm and there was unanimous approval of yays.
