This is a 16-hour WIPA certification course for INSTRUCTORS broken into two full-day sessions. This session is targeted at J+ rated members. At the end of the course, you will be confident performing and teaching other students how to water start, use harness and footstraps, and get planing with control. A full list of taught and tested maneuvers follows.
This course will be taught by USSA-Certified instructor David Gadarian.

you have taught CSC intermediate-level windsurfing classes OR
you'd like to teach intermediate lessons if only you felt more confident in your instructional skills!
AND you can commit 16 hours to this certification course
AND teach at least four Intermediate classes this and next season.

Sat May 10 9AM-5PM (8h Land Session)
Sun May 11 9AM-5PM (4h Land Session, 4h Water Session)
Cost: Zilch. CSC has grant money earmarked for this, so instead of paying $500 for the privilege of top-flight instruction & official certification, you can get certified for the low, low cost of teaching at least four Intermediate classes across this and next season!

Getting into and out of harness lines
Getting into foot straps first time planing
5 Gears into planing
C posture, normal 7 posture, super 7 posture
Footwork, displacement to planing waterline, upwind & downwind stance adjustments, gusts and lulls
Carving wavy S's in the straps
Preventing and correcting spin out
Catapulting safety and prevention
Escaping from under the sail.
Short board, deep water self-rescue
