This clinic is suitable for all Junior and above members. Advanced novices can listen in, too, if interested and haven't yet passed the Junior tests—if you can stay upwind, you can try some lightwind freestyle moves.

Light wind days offer the opportunity to hone sail handling skills AND have lots of fun trying out new ways to manipulate the sail. Ever seen somebody do a 360 on a windsurfing board or sail with the sail between their body and the wind? That's light wind freestyle.

This class may introduce windsurfing concepts such as sail chi, backwinding, helitacks, upwind 360s depending on level of overall registrants, but lesson will be short and we'll all get on the water together. If conditions are light, great. If intermediate, you can practice in the Novice area. If it's blowing, well, we'll all be trying to go fast.
