Dinghy Boat Repair Party

No Dinghy Lessons this Saturday (Dec 6), but a great opportunity to learn about maintenance and get our dinghy fleet into shape.

We will be inspecting all of our training dinghies (Quests, Touras, Ventures, and JYs) in detail, following a checklist. You’ll see what you should be looking at every time you check a boat out. You’ll see how to fix common problems (not hard for most of them). And you’ll understand which problems are serious and which aren’t.

This will start at 9am Saturday morning. We’ll go through the boats with an experienced boat person to help you work through the inspection and the repairs.

It’s a party, with food afterwards in the yard.

We are looking for boat captains to lead the inspection and repair for each boat, so contact the First Vices if you want to do this. 

Otherwise, come on down and help get our fleet in order for your lessons. It all counts as work hours. And you’ll meet some other  Club members to go out and sail with. 

The fleet is our collective responsibility, and this is an opportunity to get it up to where it needs to be.
